Night of the Living Dead

Our flight out of Phoenix left at 6:40 in the morning. It was suggested we arrive at the airport 2 hours before our flight. We had to get everyone up and ready, drive 25 minutes to the airport and return the rental car before heading over on the shuttle bus.
I was pretty sure that arriving that early in the morning would negate the need to get there quite so early, but not sure enough to sleep in a little more. Ian ended up waking us up at 3 AM anyway.
Of course everything went as smooth as silk, leaving us with a good 90 minute wait once we got to the gate. To make matters worse, my idea that there couldn't possibly be an airport without a Starbucks was totally wrong, and we didn't get any coffee. Bleh.
We spent the time as seen above, with Ian at his usual pasttime. In this picture you can also see my awesome invention. I didn't want to have to lug the car seat around through airports so I was going to get a collapsible luggage cart. Then I had an 'AHA' moment, and tried fitting into the umbrella stroller we have. It fit perfectly, and I held it securely in place with a bungee cord. We could buckle Noah in and push him around while not having to carry the car seat by hand. Plus once we got where we were going, we had the stroller to use. Very handy.
