Leavin' on a Jet Plane

We're in Arizona. Bec, Sarah's roommate from med school, is getting married and we flew down for the wedding. We decided that we might as well stay for a few days and have a vacation.

Ian and Noah did better than I expected on the plane. We brought Noah's car seat, and he was pretty happy to spend the majority of both flights snoozing. Ian was equally happy, having his own backpack filled with new books and toys with which to amuse himself. He also spent a good deal of time watching Wallace & Gromit on my laptop. He calls it 'Ommit Gromit'. It's cute.

The only down side on the trip there was the car rental place that charged $10 a day for a booster seat for Ian. Oddly enough you can rent a $25,000 car for $26 a day, but a $40 car seat is $10. I should have just found a Walmart and bought one. I also should have hid some smelly cheese in the car's air ducts right before returning it.

The place we're in is really nice. It's a Westin villa resort, sort of halfway between a hotel and a condo. We've got a decent sized one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer.

Now, however it is time to find food. More nifty Arizona info later.
